Community Organising Coordinator – £28,000
MRC delivers a wide range of services to migrants and refugees across London. We are now seeking a highly organised and driven community organiser to deliver our civic participation programme.
Reporting to the Integration & Community Development Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of programmes designed to support migrants and refugees to integrate into British society by improving their civic participation through community organising, activism and engagement. This will include civic education courses, community meetings, community organising training, and leadership development training.
We’re looking for an experienced community organiser with excellent communications and coordination skills. You’ll be creative and able to build relationships with a bewildering variety of people and organisations. You’ll be a dynamic team player, self-motivated and with excellent organisational skills, capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

Policy & Campaigns Manager – £42.000
This is an exciting time to join the MRC policy and campaigns team. The uncertainty surrounding Brexit, coupled with migration challenges around the world, has created an extremely challenging policy environment – but one with enormous potential to make a difference.
Migrants Resource Centre aims to be the leading policy voice on issues of migration and integration in the UK. Our goal is to build the case for balanced approach to migration that works for everyone – including business and the economy, long settled communities, as well as migrants & refugees.
We are looking for an experienced, innovative and ambitious Policy & Campaigns Manager to lead our public-facing work on migration policy.
You will develop policy positions that balance the complex impacts that migration has on business & the economy, public services, culture & identity, and human rights. You will work closely with business leaders & employer groups, labour unions, local communities, charities, and political parties across the political spectrum.
You will run high-profile, creative campaigns; manage multidisciplinary teams; forge collaborative partnerships; reaching new audiences and building public support; develop political strategies and use them to influence across the political spectrum.
Your experience may come from the academic, government, think tank, or charity sectors. You will have the knowledge and gravitas to influence key stakeholders at the highest levels while also understanding public attitudes and how different audiences can be reached and persuaded.

Migrants Resource Centre has worked for over 30 years to help migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers overcome the barriers that prevent them from fully participating in British society. Following our merger with Asylum Aid last year, we have agreed an ambitious new five-year strategy reflecting the urgency of the issue of immigration in the UK today. We are looking for a chairperson with a strong commitment to the work of MRC and to good governance, to guide our board at an exciting time for the organisation.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience or qualities:
- Prior experience as Chair is desirable, or significant experience as a trustee or non-executive director
- Experience of strategic planning at senior management and/or board level
- Entrepreneurial approach
- Policy experience
- Good communicator and a team player
- External profile in our circles, with good connections.

Following our merger with Asylum Aid last year, we have agreed an ambitious new five-year strategy that reflects the urgency of immigration issues in the UK, as well as our growing role in the migration and refugee sector. To help us achieve our aims in this challenging environment, we are looking for trustees with unique experience of business and policy issues who can help guide the organisation as we undertake new and exciting work:
MRC is seeking to recruit a Trustee with particular experience of individual and major donor fundraising to support the development of this aspect of our strategy. In addition to the attributes required of all Trustees, the Fundraising Trustee should also demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in individual and major donor fundraising either at board/senior management level or as a significant donor yourself
- Ability to provide oversight, advice, challenge and support for our income generation from the public and high net worth individuals
- Ability to serve on the Fundraising Committee, ensuring compliance with fundraising & data protection regulations.
MRC is seeking to recruit a Trustee with experience of public policy and connections across the political spectrum, particularly in the current Government. In addition to the attributes required of all Trustees, the Policy Trustee should also demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in public policy with connections across the political spectrum, or
- Ability to support the Policy & Campaigns team to develop effective strategies
MRC is seeking to recruit a Trustee with experience of the role of immigration in business, including sectors such as finance, healthcare, agriculture, construction or hospitality. In addition to the attributes required of all Trustees, the Business Trustee should also demonstrate:
- Knowledge of the impact of immigration policy on business
- Ability to support the Policy & Campaigns team to build alliances with businesses and representative bodies
